Sardine Pillow Paper Pattern

The Sardine Pillow pattern is a whimsical, totally addictive project that's been a long time coming — and once you make one, you'll want to make a dozen. (Fair warning: that's not an exaggeration.)

Designed by Kristin Rauch, this pattern gives you multiple assembly options from the same pattern pieces:

• A sardine from a single fabric
• A sardine with a separate head fabric
• A fully pieced sardine with two body fabrics, a head fabric, and an optional flipper

Add a top fin to any option, and choose between a two-sided pieced back or a single fabric back. The pieced options include gentle curves — extra photos and a full companion video are included to guide you through every step.
